Syd and Tessa McMonnies are the owner/operators of Out n About Sportfishing, located in the sensationally beautiful FNQ town of Port Douglas.

Both are qualified skippers and super keen anglers, however these days Tessa runs the logistical side of the business whilst Syd gets to share his passion for fishing with his valued clients. The team have a Stabicraft 609 and a 6.0 metre Amara Centre Cabin, both very well appointed, safe, roomy and comfortable.

Both boats are equipped with top shelf rods and reels and as they both have high sides they are definitely kid friendly. Live/fresh bait, refreshments, insect repellent and wet weather gear is supplied on all trips for passenger comfort.

They cater for estuary trips chasing barra, jacks, salmon, fingermark, tarpon and queenies whilst reef trips target coral trout, red emperor, cobia, nannygai, Spanish mackerel, giant trevally and a host of other species.

Whilst there are a standard range of charters on their website, Syd and Tessa can arrange just about anything from small groups through to private charters, night fishing trips and so forth.
