Yellowfin Plate Boats is taking its range to the next level with their new Extended Cabin models, challenging the fishing industry with new, innovative designs and boat upgrades. The widely known and trusted Australian brand has been operating since 1984 and now delivers upgraded YF-70 and YF-76 models to the Australian public, officially launched at the 2024 Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show.

The latest powerhouse to make waves in the Yellowfin Plate Boat range is the Extended Cabin. Designed off the famed, trusted design, the new range takes offshore boating to the next level with the most innovative design to date. Experience unparalleled performance with the latest Offshore HD-R Hull, strengthened with the Inter-Lok core, and internal fit and finish with all new design features. It’s the boat that will keep you coming back for more.
On top of all that Yellowfin Plate Boats have recently expanded their dealer network and are now available at a new dealership located on the South-East coast of Queensland at the long standing Gold Coast Boating Centre.

The Extended Cabin range are being touted as the ultimate offshore beast. With a 45% increase in cabin space compared to previous models, it’s built as tough as it is spacious. Delivered with 6mm bottoms and 4mm topsides, is Yellowfin’s latest, industry-leading Offshore HD-R Hull. With increased dash real-estate allowing for a 16 inch and 19 inch sounders to fit side by side, while an elevated interior delivers unparalleled comfort and aesthetics.
The two models currently being offered with the Extended Cabin are the 6.99 metre YF-70 and the 7.48 metre YF-76. Both vessels are exceptionally well appointed and can accommodate seven people on board. The YF-70 is rated to 250 horsepower and carries 320 litres of underfloor fuel whilst the bigger YF-76 is rated to 300 horsepower and holds 380 litres qualifying both vessels as roomy and very easy on the eye offshore fishing weapons.
The YF-76 helm and seating are very well laid out and super comfortable.
Standard features include U-Dek flooring and trim which provides for a very comfortable day on the water. Along the transom is a live bait tank and bait board, stainless steel rod holders, wireless phone chargers, Garmin 5 inch MFD, Garmin VHF Marine Radio, Garmin GT54 transdcuer, Zipwake trim tabs, Offshore Plastimo Compass, full sealed self draining deck and an electric trolling motor bracket on the bow.
The ‘Fishing Edition’ includes a deluxe bait station complete with tackle boxes and additional storage, Deck wash, roller door to cabin, dual suspension seats which are luxuriously upholstered and super comfortable, Icey Tek cooler, Yellowfin branded fish bag, underwater lights, Side coaming cushions, Exploding Fish Rod holders, Dual windscreen wipers, dual wireless phone charger and special edition steel grey U-Dek floor and trim.

These boats are exceptionally well thought out and fitted out. The design team has gone above and beyond this time and these new to market long range plate fishing machines will be a huge success in Australia.
The conditions on our run offshore in these boats were a bit on the sloppy side with a rolling swell keeping the crew entertained. The suspension seats guaranteed a super comfortable ride in any conditions, and at one stage, on our push through the slop I was perched on the very comfortable rear lounge and did not wear one drop of water!
